Welcome Message

On behalf of the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation (ASNRT)-Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Chapter, Local and Scientific Committees, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the “The First Pan-Arab PD Conference”  which will be held in Port Said from Thursday 26th to  Friday 27th February 2009 under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Hatim AlGebaly (Minister of Health and General Mostafa Abd Allatif  (Governor of Port Said). This conference will be held in collaboration with Egyptian Society of Nephrology (ESN), Port Said Society of Internal Medicine and Damanhoor Medical National Institute,
The main theme of the conference is “PD for All”. The meeting was established with the aim to promote and disseminate the use of PD as a recognizable treatment modality for chronic Kidney disease (CKD) patients.
The program committee has developed an exciting program that will seek to explore and offer guidance on how peritoneal dialysis can be optimized to give our CKD patients from different demographics and with varying co morbid diseases the opportunity to use PD and to get the best clinical outcomes. Promoting delegate involvement will also be a major goal of the integrated program. There will be some sessions devoted to debating some of the most controversial issues in PD today.
All efforts have been taken to make this conference a great event. We are certain that you will take home many unforgettable memories of this special event.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in “The First Pan-Arab PD Conference” in Port Said and we look forward to meeting you there.

Dr. Yassin Ibrahim El-Shahat, President of the Conference
Chair of ASNRT-PD Chapter
Sr. Consultant Nephrologist
